Winter is coming. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is here. But don’t fret because the weather is changing. It’s time to get happy with some of the best happy hours in Seattle. Elevate your mood, social life, and bank account with these top of the chart menus.

Happy Hour: 3 pm – close
Long hours and cheap eats from $1.95 sprinkled with truffle oil. What’s not to be happy about? Brave the Bellevue bustle and wind down in the dimly lit Palomino lounge. Wine from $5.50 and cocktails from $5.95. Get the Gluten Free Wild Mushroom Ravioli with gorgonzola cream, roasted mushrooms, toasted hazelnuts, and truffle oil for $6.95.

Ballard Pizza Company SLU
Happy Hour: 4 – 8 pm
Pizza lovers rejoice because Ethan Stowell does fast casual right. Hit the courtyard patio for a fat slice of pie and a tall boy at just $5. It’s on the Amazon campus but if a sea of blue badges doesn’t scare you, this wallet friendly joint is a great place to slam some ‘za and get the night started right.

Umi Sake House
Happy Hour: 4 – 6 pm every day and 11 pm – close, Sun – Thur
The best place to get inventive rolls in Belltown. Plan a sushi feast during their happy hour and you won’t regret it. Rolls are from $5.50, there’s crispy calamari at $5.50, and plenty of melt in your mouth sashimi starting at $8. $4.50 Sapporo, $5 wells, and $6 sake.

Hollywood Tavern
Happy Hour: Monday – Friday, 3 – 6 pm
The newly extended happy hour at Hollywood Tavern makes it easier than ever to enjoy the Eastside’s little Napa. Wine by the glass is $5, beer on tap is $4, and snacks like fried pickles and crispy cod tacos. The tacos are just $3 during happy hour with handmade fresh tortillas, zesty slaw, and subtly spicy ancho lime crema. Enjoy the fire pit and live music from 5:30 – 8:30 pm then stay for an adult milkshake with Woodinville whiskey.

Many a fiesta start at the one and only Fogon. With Corona and Pacifico at $3, free chips and salsa, and a list of $5 food items there’s no way to go wrong South of the border. Ballers on a budget can get a tequila tonic at $4 paired with ceviche and tostadas de tinga with plenty of cash left over for whatever’s next.

Happy Hour: 3 – 6 and all day Sunday
Sunday funday? Tom Douglas knows. Hit up TanakaSan during happy hour and let the good times roll. You can’t miss the $6.50 Sake Slushie with the fried shrimp and pork lumpia at $5. Or get a $4.50 Seapine IPA with $6 general tso's spare ribs doused in flavorful orange sauce then sprinkled with chilies, scallion and puffed rice.
