10 Signs You Are A Winter Person Stuck In Summer

It’s safe to say that the majority of people look forward to summer. Especially here in Washington where all we get is rain, rain, and more rain ten months out of the year. Summer has many amazing features. If you’re a student or a teacher, you get three months off. Everyone gets a tan, you can wear shorts, and there are hundreds of fun activities to do outside. What is not to love?

Well, if you’re like me, you are just not a summer person. I am a fall/winter gal. I love the cold weather, how crisp the air is, and how perfectly picturesque everything looks with a fresh coat of snow. Don’t even get me started on the music, lights, and football. Being able to wear oversized, comfy sweaters and boots is easily more me than wearing a crop top and shorts. These months have all of the best holidays, and there is just an overall merrier, movie-like vibe you can’t help but feel during them.

Unfortunately, I am a fall/winter person stuck in the summer, and I cannot wait for it to be over. If you relate to these ten signs, you probably are too.

1. You catch yourself buying winter clothes that you can’t wear for three months.

2. You see Spirit Halloween stores going up and cannot contain your excitement.

3. When you see rain in the forecast, you are the only one that isn’t sad.

4. All your friends are complaining that summer is almost over and you’re like:

5. Going to the beach is an excellent idea until you go to the beach.

6. Whenever you see someone share a meme about being excited about fall/winter and you realize you aren’t the only one:

7. You watch Christmas/Halloween movies all year round.

8. You are constantly wishing that the temperature would drop.
9. When you realize that all the fall flavors are coming back to coffee shops:
10. September, October, November, and December are just around the corner, and you can’t help but express how happy you are.

If you’re like me, just this list gets you excited. Summer definitely has its perks, don’t get me wrong. There is just something about fall/winter that makes me feel a way that summer can’t. I don’t know if it’s the weather, the activities, the holidays, or just the feeling, but I love it all.

Happy almost end of summer to my fellow winter people!
