March in Seattle announced its looming arrival like an unruly beast. We got hit with thunder snow and a subsequent traffic apocalypse that made those commuting in and out of the city question their slowly diminishing sanity. We’re all ready for spring…But I’m not expecting it anytime soon. On the bright side, Seattle’s March food scene is as hot as a steaming bowl noodles. Noodle joints are popping up to warm you up, and there are always events focused on eating and drinking. Enjoy!

Sen Noodle Bar
Wontons stuffed with pork, garlic and giner, build-your-own noodle bowls, and authentic Thai omelets served over rice. There’s a little something for everyone no matter what you’re craving. Budget friendly bowls of items garlic pork rice are only $5.

The Nook
This West Seattle cocktail bar features everything from classic craft cocktails like their Old Fashioned, Negroni, and Manhattan, to craft beers, and local wines. The vintage inspired space is dedicated to a contemporary beverage program with rotating drink specials that are sure to make this the new Admiral watering hole.

Jones Brother & Co
Based on the original Jones Brother’s butcher shop in Ballard, this Italian oasis has a community vibe and roots in the neighborhood. The build your own pasta and meatballs, and hearty overstuffed Italian grinder will make diners feel like part of the family.

Kiki Ramen
Replacing Bar Noroeste is Josh Henderson’s newly opened ramen venture. The menu includes traditional Shio, Shoyu, Miso and Tonkotsu broths and Izakaya-style happy hour with a selection of Japanese Whiskey and local sake.

Foodie Adventures
Oyster Madness @ Pearl Seafood & Oyster Bar, March 6th – April 11th
A four-week celebration showcasing the finest oysters from the Pacific Northwest paired with beverages. Menu items include Oyster Shooter six-pack with Demetri’s Bloody Mary, bacon salt, and Grey Goose option and Oyster Po Boy sandwich on toasted Macrina Brioche with spicy remoulade, pickles, and fries (lunch only).

Dine Around Seattle, March 5th – 23, Sunday – Thursday
Participating restaurants across in the Seattle area are offering 3 items from a pre-fixe menu for $22, $33, or $44 for guests to try. Restaurants include places like Bramling Cross, Herb & Bitter, Seven Beef, Heartwood Provisions, Pomerol, and more. You can see the full list by neighborhood on the website.
