Seattle Sounders FC vs Houston Dynamo in the Western Conference Championship

Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that our very own Seattle Sounders won the MLS Cup last year and this year they are well on their way to the MLS Cup Championship once again.

Earlier this month the Sounders clutched a 2-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps, granting them a guaranteed spot in the Western Conference Championship. They will play against the Houston Dynamo who defeated the Portland Timbers just a few days after Whitecaps match. The Sounders have already faced Houston twice this year with the first match resulting in a loss and the second in a victory.  The Western Conference Championship will be a two-game aggregate-goal series, first taking place in Houston on Tuesday, November 21st and then in Seattle on Thursday, November 30th.  Sounders fans will be pleased to know that Clint Dempsey is ready for this championship after sitting out last years due to an irregular heartbeat.  We can all sleep a bit easier knowing big daddy Clint is out there! It is also very possible that homegrown star, Jordan Morris, will be making his return after suffering an injury in September.

The last time Houston made a conference championship appearance was in 2013 and they were defeated by Sporting Kansas City, but they are no strangers to MLS Cup Championship. They have reached the championship four times and been victorious twice. Something tells me that after their impressive win over the Timbers, they are hungrier than ever for another MLS Cup.

Got plans for the series? If you aren’t heading to your favorite sports bar, these games will available on channels FS1, Fox Deportes, ESPN, and ESPN Deportes and can also be streamed on FOX Sports GO, MLS LIVE replay, and WatchESPN. If you are planning on attending the home game, make sure you head to Occidental Park an hour before kickoff for the famous March to the Match with Ken Carson, Sounders FC fanatics, and Sound Wave.
